About Us

​We are a team of motivated scientists from all corners of the world working together to investigate critical questions at the intersection of virology, immunology, and neuroscience. We are excited to each carve our own niche within a collaborative and supportive environment. We have members who have been the backbone of the lab for over 15 years, members that have stopped in for a few years and then launched to independent careers, and new arrivals just embarking on their scientific journey. We enjoy presenting our work at local and international meetings, collaborating with big and small groups at a variety of other institutions and exploring scientific questions with great intellectual curiosity. We have had lab members that also raise bees, many that have families, some that play basketball or golf for a break, state champion runners, EMTs, physician-scientists, and even concert musicians. Passion manifests in many forms and creativity inside and outside the lab characterizes our amazing group.
